Privacy Policy — PDF Maker
Last updated: 24 July 2026
PDF Maker ("the App") is developed and published by Rosnil Technology Private Limited ("Rosnil", "we", "us"). The short version: PDF Maker does its work entirely on your device. We have no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising, and your documents, photos, and any recognised text never leave your device or reach our servers.
1. Who we are
Rosnil Technology Private Limited is the data controller for the App. For any privacy question or request, contact rosnil@apeitnow.com.
2. What the App does with your content
- Photos, camera captures, and scanned pages are used only to build a PDF. Cropping, rotating, resizing, colour/enhancement filters, and PDF creation happen locally on your device.
- Saved PDFs and their source pages are stored in the App's private storage on your device. They are not uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone unless you choose to share them.
- Text recognition (OCR) uses Google ML Kit's on-device model. The image is read locally; it is not sent to Google or to us. Extracted text is stored on your device so you can search it.
We never see, receive, or store your documents, images, or recognised text.
3. What we collect
We do not collect personal data. No account, name, email, or phone number is requested; no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used; no device identifiers are collected by us.
4. Permissions we ask for, and why
| Permission | Why | What happens to the data |
|---|---|---|
| Camera | To photograph or scan a document into a page | The captured image stays on your device |
| Photo Library | To pick existing photos to turn into a PDF | The selected images stay on your device |
You can decline or revoke these in your device settings at any time.
5. Sharing to other apps
When you tap Share, WhatsApp, or Save to Files, your device's system share sheet hands the file to the app or service you select. From that point the file is governed by that service's own privacy policy. We do not control or receive anything through this step.
6. Software updates
The App uses Expo Application Services (EAS Update) to deliver improvements. When it checks for an update, Expo's servers receive standard technical request data — such as your IP address, device platform, and the App's runtime version — used solely to serve the correct update. We receive no personal data from it. See expo.dev/privacy.
7. Children
The App is a general-purpose utility, is not directed at children under 13 (or the local equivalent), and collects no personal data from anyone.
8. Data retention and deletion
Your content lives only on your device. Deleting a document in the App removes it; uninstalling the App removes all stored documents and recognised text. There is no server-side copy for us to retain or delete.
9. Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to export, correct, or erase on our side. For any question under the GDPR, India's DPDP Act, the CCPA, or similar laws, contact rosnil@apeitnow.com.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App works in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected here before the updated App is released.
